"(he)was a revolutionary. His practice was subversive; his message seditious. His enlightened point of view went against the norms of his day...His teachings changed the world, and now they can change you too." You might be thinking that this is Jesus, but it is not, it's Buddha, at least it is according to teacher/revolutionary Noah Levine. Levine runs a group called Dharma Punx and leads a weekly Buddhist meditation here in LA. He is a former punk rocker with a rough past who found his path through Buddhist meditation. He is an unlikely looking meditation teacher, fully tatted out, pierced and shaven-headed, but he speaks with depth about how Buddhism can help one deal with issues of addiction/anger etc. He calls Buddha, Sid for short, a reference to the Buddha's name, Siddartha Gautama, which I think s quite funny, but points to the irreverential tone with which he approaches this stuff.
