Slavoj Zizek hits about 200 issues in this talk! The whole talk was given at University of Vermont and was initially meant to be a sort of response to a talk given by the Dalai Lama who had spoken in the same area a couple of days before. But as usual with Zizek, one issue is never enough and there is always so much to talk about, in this case, the Pope, Justin Bieber and the global phenomenon that is gangnam style, which he puts in the 'return of god' pile. The nose-scratching, twitching, t-shirt pulling tics are almost too much, but it's the price to get good Zizek.
Aw, this was a truly nice post. In concept I would like to put in writing like this moreover - taking time and actual effort to make a especially great article?- but what can I say?- I procrastinate alot and by no means seem to get something carried out.
