I love design--architectural, product, graphic, packaging, interior, you name it, I enjoy it immensely. I have spent days at the Pacific Design Center just looking at fabrics and wallpapers, and I buy lots of design magazines, and particularly interior design mags. The proliferation of tv channels devoted to home improvement has thrown up a new group of interior designers in much the same way that the cooking channels have done with chefs. A couple that I really like are The Novogratz, and Brooks Atwood. Atwood is the founder of POD Design, and quite a character.

His company does architectural, industrial and interior design and for the past eight years he has taught design thinking at Parsons The New School in New York and New Jersey Institute of Technology’s College of Architecture & Design. There are 20 tips that will change your life on the blog at the moment, nothing earth-shattering, reminders really, but well executed and its the execution of the ideas that makes them compelling.
